The default OS X Finder does its job ok. As long as all you need is simple file management capabilities, then it provides you with everything you need. But if you find yourself using Finder on a daily basis and most of your time at work, then perhaps you should take a look at Path Finder.
If you use both Mac and Windows, deciding on which file system to format your portable hard disk can sometimes be tricky. By default, the Mac can only read NTFS disks and Windows obviously could not even load an HFS+ formatted disk. Well, what if you didn’t need to choose and can use both HFS+ and NTFS on either your Mac and Windows machines! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Here’s how you can do exactly that.

In the recent Mountain Lion preview announcement, we are starting to see quite a bit of convergence of iOS apps being introduced into Mac OS X. There’s a whole lot of iCloud enhanced apps like Calendar, Reminder, Notes, etc. If you are familiar with the iPad, there’s nothing really new here, except that it’s going to be available soon! But there’s also a gem that was released on the same announcement, and that’s the Messages app which is available now as a beta app.
