VMWare Fusion 4, 1Password and a new Mac in the family!
What’s new?
VMWare Fusion 4 is new. Just having installed the 30-days trial and having a quick go at it, I’d have to say that it’s looking pretty good to give Parallels some competition. I’ll be exploring it further in the coming days and will post a my version of the comparison between Parallels 7 and Fusion 4 soon!
As quick news on some Mac apps that I’ve come to rely on, 1Password is probably one of the best password manager available for the Mac, iPad and iPhone. (Updated: Price has increased since I posted this entry) The good news is that it’s now available off the Mac App Store at $19.99$24.99, 50% a slight discount off the usual price of $39.99!
Grab it while it lasts!
Also, this version would entitle you to a free upgrade to version 4 when it gets released!
One of the best feature of 1Password is the use of dropbox to sync it’s (encrypted of course) password file across all your devices running the 1Password app. Really useful indeed especially to access sites that uses super-strong passwords which you would never be able to remember.
Oh and the last bit of news, my household collection of Apple devices has grown +1 with a new 13″ MacBook Air which my wife would be using from now on, upgrading her from the really old Dell notebook. The MacBook Air is indeed really an impressive piece of art! If only they had options for at least 320GB SSD. 🙂
Um, the Mac App Store is showing 1Password at $24.99. Do you have a secret method for getting the lower price?
Darn. The price has been increased! It’s now only 25% off the usual price! You can see the price history here at AppShopper. http://appshopper.com/mac/productivity/1password
