NTFS on Mac and HFS+ on Windows
0If you use both Mac and Windows, deciding on which file system to format your portable hard disk can sometimes be tricky. By default, the Mac can only read NTFS disks and Windows obviously could not even load an HFS+ formatted disk.
And you definitely do not want to use FAT filesystems on a 500GB portable hard disk.
So which should you choose? Well, what if you didn’t need to choose and can use both HFS+ and NTFS on either your Mac and More >

To Mac, or to Windows? That’s your question, here’s my answer
1If you’re looking to get a new PC or notebook, chances are, you’ll be asking the question above. So, should you be getting a Mac or Windows machine? Well, in my humble opinion, the answer is pretty simple. If you are willing to fork out a little more (to get more too of course), then go for the Mac option as I had.
Sure, like I mentioned, the Mac option will be a little bit more expensive when compared with the ‘equivalent’ Windows option More >

Using Mac (or Linux) in a Windows dominated workplace
1It’s a (sad) fact that most corporate workplace are still using Windows as the only supported platform for work. It’s not that I’ve anything against Windows. Don’t get me wrong here. Instead, I personally think that if I choose to run Mac and Linux OS, so be it. Why should one get shun off just because the corporate standards and softwares only support Windows.
Now, what would your options be?
One is obviously to setup a dual-boot More >
Tip: Enabling ‘native’ NTFS read and write support on Snow Leopard, at your own risk
0If you’re use both Mac and Windows workstations, then you’d probably also have a bunch of removable hard disks that’s formatted as NTFS laying around. And you’d also obviously know that OS X does read from an NTFS partition. The trouble is, you don’t get NTFS write by default.
In Snow Leopard, both read and write capability is apparently available natively. The reason why it’s not officially available, it seems, is due to licensing issues More >
iPhone OS 4.0 – Windows Mobile 7: Multitasking or Not?
0Multitasking [mŭl'tē-tās'kĭng] n. The concurrent operation by one central processing unit of two or more processes.
It seems like multitasking is a never ending feature of discussion when it comes to the iPhone and it’s smartphone peers. Everyone seems to be fussing about the iPhone not supporting multitasking and as a result, it seems like the OS 4.0 would introduce some ‘new ways to multitask‘, whatever that means.
Then there’s the More >
Reason #1 of 862.2 why I love my iPhone
16 months ago, I would never have thought that the iPhone could change the way I engage my daily routine. Sure, the iPhone is cool and all. But it’s just yet another smartphone, right? I was already using a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone already, so I can do pretty much, if not more, than the iPhone, right? Boy was I so wrong about that.
Fast forward 6 months ahead, I found out how wrong my perception was on the iPhone! Sure it is has More >

The user profile service service failed the login. User profile cannot be loaded.
After stumbling around a little, I manage to help him More >
NEF Codec with Windows 7 64-bit (and Vista 64-bit too!) – Updated
8It’s known that Nikon (stupidly if you’d ask me) choose to not release a 64-bit version of the NEF codec. And since I installed the 64-bit version of Vista on my desktop workstation since it has 4GB of RAM, I’ve not been able to view the thumbnails of my NEF files. Instead, I just opted to use a photo viewer application, Picasa to be specific, to browse through my camera’s RAW files to pick the ones that I’d like to edit and move on from More >
