Manually downloading iOS 4.1 (or any other versions) for iTunes
2iOS 4.1 is out and you want to immediately update your iPhone to get it updated with the latest iOS and patch all those bugs. So you fired up iTunes and click on the update button. Then iTunes tells you that it would take 3-4 hours to download the almost 400MB firmware update.
3 to 4 hours if you’re lucky that is. And on top of that, let’s hope your download don’t timeout!
Sounds familiar? Well, if you’re as unlucky as I am when it comes to More >

iPhone 4 Antennagate: A case of losing perspective
0There’s seems to be a lot of rant, opinions, news, blogs and anything else you can think of on the iPhone 4 ‘Antennagate’ issue. Well, here’s my rant too.
To summarize the outcome of Apple’s press conference on this issue, all iPhone 4 users would be getting a free Bumper case. If you’re already bought the bumper, you’d get a refund. If you’re still not too happy with the iPhone 4, return it with no questions asked.
Seriously, what more can you More >
Tip: Calibrating the MacBook and iPhone battery to maximize it’s life
2Everyone knows that the battery on the new MacBooks and iPhone are built-in and non-replaceable. Therefore, it’s extra important to try and maintain the battery to maximize its lifetime.
And since both the MacBooks and iPhones uses a lithium-based battery, there are a few golden rules on how we can keep the batteries in tip-top conditions.

Upgrading a Spirit-Jailbroken iPhone 3GS to iOS 4.0
53It’s iOS 4.0 day today as I’m typing this blog. If you’re on an official iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware, all you need to do to get iOS 4.0 loaded is to just wait for iTunes to prompt for the a new iPhone software update and just update it. If you can’t wait for the auto-checking, just click the Check for update button on iTunes over the next few hours.
But what if you’re currently have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS. Specifically, an iPhone 3GS on iPhone OS More >
WWDC 2010 – Early thoughts on the iPhone 4 and iOS 4
0It’s that time of the year again. Yup, WWDC 2010′s keynote has just started as I’m typing this blog post while following it at gdgt (photos posted courtesy of gdgt too!)
The beginning of the keynote was nothing too spectacular since all we wanted was the details of the new iPhone. However, there were some interesting statistics and points that was shared by Steve.
Firstly, there was quite a fair bit of focus on the iPad. We all know that ove More >
5 Reasons Why I Jailbroke my iPhone
3Yes. I finally took the plunge and jailbroke my phone. One reason why I took so long to do it was the fact that it’s quite an easy task to jailbreak an unlocked iPhone without the risk of losing anything existing on the phone. If you want to know how I got it done, just hop over to http://spiritjb.com/.
I’m actually known for my insistence of buying apps and games legitimately off App Store. And since don’t exactly own a tree that grows money, More >
iPhone OS 4.0: An Elegant ‘Multi-tasking’ Approach
1A friend of mine said to me on the night when OS 4.0 was announced, “The 4.0 changelist better be as long as 3.0′s changelist”. Well, we here at +8 GMT timezone would obviously not be able to attend the party at Cupertino, but thanks to the bunch at Gizmodo, I was getting updated on their live feed. I think there was a mention of close to 100 new features on iPhone OS 4.0.
But I think the top feature that’s gotten everyone excited is the More >
